I chose to use Lord Of The Flies in an ENG 2D class. My goals of this unit were: to affect good collaborative writing so that students will write a polished 5-paragraph essay, an interior monologue and a novel excerpt.

I really enjoyed some of your ideas, especially the girls changing the island argument. I will incorporate some of what you've done with some of what I do next semester. Great job.

I like the idea of adding the two girls to the island as it completely shifts the dynamic. I also like the adaptability of the exercise for the other grade levels. The proposed differentiation using oral and multimedia presentations in lieu of the writing project is a good idea as well.
